I like your voice, your prononciation, and so on.

Not many singers can pull off the no vibrato / minimal vibrato sound successfully. Ms Collins is in that small club for sure.

nicely done!

wooooow sooo sweeeeet voice :)

Nice touch, I would wonder how someone could sing this song w/o a gravelly cowboy voice but this is it, something slightly elegiac reminiscing not trying to overpower it but then you also have to get everything just right, can't just run over parts. She does that, a great job telling the story in the song.I kinda get the impression from this version the cowboy didn't change his ways ;^)

that picture off Judy n Joni .They look like sister,s god bless them both

love her since 1967

Great rendition. New appreciation for Judy Collins!

Great version. Thanks Judy !!

Love the early 60s heavy judy collins work wish I could Sega whole 12 curses!Chris young

an angel from unknown music how much i love her talent

Great lady of music. I admire her...

There are songs that Judy Collins' voice and style are perfectly suited for. This isn't one of them.

wow this really sucked

this lady has the voice of an angel and the heart of a saint and a love of all music and whenever she sings or plays a song it is like a rebirth and the song is all hers and with such a great new sound thank you so much for posting this great artist and the song

Omg! this was mine and my grandfather's song. Only, by Johnny Cash. he died 7 years ago. I played it at his funeral. This woman is AMAZING! I cried. Wow!

what a performance!

I wanted to see what Judy would do with this after listening to all the guys. Great job.

In her 70s and she's still got it.

Good job Judy.

Lawdy, that woman can sing...

I've always liked this song. Great version! Thanks.

Very very nice !Thanks

Wonderful lady singer with a hauntingly beautiful voice singing a hauntingly beautiful song .....

Gorgeous version of Stan's great song -

when I was about five, my neighbours used to come over for playdates and we would all dance around to a cassette with this song on it... I think it was a fred penner cassette but I love this version

Sweet Judy Blue eyes ... what a wonderful lady ..

Wonderful rendition.  Let me suggest another female version:  Peggy Lee.  Ms.  Lee was a truly unique voice.  I think we all know and probably agree that this song is so great one can almost say that all the versions are terrific.  I first heard it by Vaughan Monroe.  Mercifully, the horrendous Bing Crosby version is unheard.

I have heard many versions of this song. Judy always amazes me in her rendition of many musical pieces. This one is very wonderful ...

It is hard to find a bad version of this song because it is so well written. Judy does an outstanding arrangement. Stan Jones co-wrote another song that the Kingston Trio recorded, Hanna Lee.

Beautiful version, well done!

There (still-after all these years) is something so pleasing in Judy Collins voice. I guess a testimony to the quality of a song and melody would be that if anyone at all sings/plays it and remains true to the way its writer put it...the song remains pleasing to the ear, the mind, the heart, the soul.

Perfect diction , every word clear like that unique bell-like voice.  yippee-I yay

good job JUDY. i just wrote a new version of this song called ghost singer in the sky i wish you could sing it some time,i wrote it for all the hank williams sr fans out 1949 hank had a hit called i'm so lonesome i could cry, both of these song were battleing for number one on the charts.

One person is completely tone-deaf. Poor soul.

Probably the best female vocal I've heard of this old cowboy classic.

Amen. I have never before heard Judy's version, and it is stupendous. She has the perfect hauntingly beautiful singing voice that fits the message of this epic song.

I agree 100&

I almost passed on this one, glad I didn't. An amazing rendition, amazing voice!

What a great take on a classic song :)

Judy blue eyes still has the chops.

Beautiful as ever!

Ghost Riders In The Sky Lyrics

An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw
A-plowing through the ragged sky and up the cloudy draw

Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shinny and their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
For he saw the riders coming high and he heard their mornful cry

Ghost riders in the sky

Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat
He's riding hard to catch that herd but he still ain't caught them yet
Coz they've got to ride forever on their range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire as they ride, hear their cry

Ghost riders in the sky

As the riders loped on by him he heard one call his name
If you wanna' save your soul from hell ride on our range
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride
Trying to catch the Devil's herd, across these endless skies

Ghost riders in the sky

Ghost riders in the sky

Ghost riders in the sky

Ghost riders in the sky
